A sunny day with fair winds on a Bank Holiday Monday, whatever next?!
Today, Niki and I were presented with the chance to sail together, whilst grandma and grandad took the girls to the zoo. We had a lovely run up the Orwell from Levington, under the bridge and back again. Plenty of time for a leisurely lunch on a mooring, watching the traffic go by and the odd drama unfold.
The return to SYH was more of a beat, but with the rising tide, at least there was more river to tack along.
Having tidied the boat away, we even managed a pleasant walk along the salt marshes of Levington Lagoon nature reserve.
Distance travelled 10nm; avg speed 3kt.
